Ladbrokes St Leger: 1/4 Odds, First Four – Limited Time Only

Published:

As York’s Ebor Festival prepares to take hold, it only serves as a gentle reminder that we are hurtling towards the St Leger at Doncaster.

And for today only, Ladbrokes have taken the step to offer an incredible promotion for the 1m6f showpiece on Town Moor.

We will be paying 1/4 odds on the first four home, on bets placed between now and 6pm today, up to £100 each way!

For each way bets that could be a vital concession, one that marks the difference between collecting some winnings and not topping up your coffers on September 13th.

In the last decade there have been some very nicely priced chances that have found just three rivals too strong up the home straight.

Kong was 20/1 when finishing fourth in 2005, while Ask was 16/1 the following year.

But it is the events of 2008 that should make you sit up and take note of this promotion.

Hindu Kush had just finished 10th of 11, beaten 26 lengths in the Irish Derby when he took his chance at 200/1 in South Yorkshire.

Unable to go with the more fancied contingent, Aidan O’Brien’s bay colt finished a well beaten 11l behind Conduit, just running out his fellow three-figure priced contestant Enroller to snatch fourth.

Could you find a big priced charge that has the ability to challenge the first quartet home?

James Given’s Odeon, beaten just 3l by subsequent Prix Du Jockey Club winner The Grey Gatsby in the Dante Stakes in May is available at 66/1.

Or if you would rather look across the Irish Sea for a big price, Blue Hussar is 50/1 for the aforementioned O’Brien.

At the top of the market sits Kingston Hill at 5/1, with a victory in Wednesday’s Great Voltiguer Stakes sure to see that price go, with the double priced up at 8/1.

Shadowing him at 7/1 is Romsdal, who connections will be hoping delivers a better run than the one in the King George at Ascot, and Hartnell, winner of the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket’s July meeting.

It may not be a big priced winner that fills that extra place, but with Ladbrokes fantastic offer set to last a short period of time, there is only one place to stake your antepost bets for the St Leger.
