Here are the bets to be on:

NAP – Hillstar– Coutts Glorious Stakes (13:55)

What an intriguing contest to kick off proceedings. Encke makes a return to the track for the first time since landing the St. Leger in 2012.

Meanwhile, Godolphin stablemate Songcraft is a charge who could attract each-way punters alongside last year’s Derby fourth, Battle of Marengo.

HILLSTAR saw off the latter to land the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2013 but has found his path to victory blocked since then.

But we’re backing Sir Michael Stoute’s talented four-year-old winner to recover from recent near misses and finally find his way back into the winner’s enclosure.

NB – Moviesta – Betfred King George Stakes (15:40)

A return to the scene of his last victory should benefit MOVIESTA with Paul Mulrennan staying onboard for this follow-up bid.

A few tough assignments since last summer can soon be forgotten should the Bryan Smart-trained four-year-old bounce back into form against beatable opposition.

Another former winner, Kingsgate Native, can’t be ruled out while his recent Coral Charge conqueror Extortionist will also attract plenty of attention.

July Cup runner-up Tropics ran a huge race at Newmarket with recent Group 3 victor Ladies are Forever an interesting contender, although she’s now stepping back down in trip.

Lively Longshot – J Wonder – L’Ormarins Queens Plate Stakes (16:50)

This promises to be a fascinating battle and one where many of the ladies on show have leading claims.

Mark Johnston’s Muteela is chasing a five-timer, Evita Peron comes into this fresh off the back of a smart Listed win while Manderley has plenty to prove.

Elsewhere, Queen Catrine was second behind the former of that trio in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot but may struggle to reverse that form.

Instead, our outsider pick is for Dubai Duty Stakes winner J WONDER, who should appreciate the drop in trip having recently come unstuck over a mile in the Coronation Stakes.
