CBB: Under-fire Gary Busey receiving widespread backing

Published:

This year’s Celebrity Big Brother is already delivering plenty of bust-ups, drama and controversy and we’re less than one week in to the 2014 edition.

In other words, the Channel 5 show is doing exactly what it says on the tin and one man has emerged as the focal point of the action.

Hollywood actor Gary Busey has managed to incur the wrath of ballroom dancer James Jordan, Kelly Brook’s fiancé David McIntosh and the other Jordan in the house – Leslie.

The erratic 70-year-old’s behaviour has rightly been cause for some concern but rather than turn on the Point Break star, the public and punters alike have been busy backing Busey.

Having been as big as 12/1 to win Celebrity Big Brother, Busey has shortened to 11/2 as fans of the show have flocked to his defence in the aftermath of a series of heated rows.

The hashtag #StopBullyingBusey has seen a number of viewers complain to show bosses about the treatment being received by the screen star.

Leslie is out to 12/1 to be crowned CBB champion having been 4/1 to be the show’s winner at one stage.

Meanwhile, the bookies are still struggling to split White Dee (5/2) and Kellie Maloney (3/1) at the head of the market with Gogglebox ‘personality’ George Gilbey not far behind at 10/3.

Our message to anyone looking to have a wager – remember how the house initially turned on Jim Davidson earlier in the year?

We all know how that turned out.
