World Cup: Aguero hat-trick among Ladbrokes semi-final specials

Published:

Sergio Aguero has been passed fit to face Holland in Argentina’s semi-final tomorrow and Ladbrokes is marking the news with a special bet on the Manchester City strike ace.

The bookmaker is pre-empting some scintillating headlines and is going 50/1 that the fit again striker puts the Oranje to the sword with a hat-trick display at the Arena de Sao Paulo.

All eyes at the World Cup will be on the Abliceleste hitman tomorrow but first there is the small matter of Brazil v Germany tonight.

The anticipation ahead of the crunch game is palpable with Thiago Silva suspended and Neymar already sat at home nursing an injured back.

As such it could be up to Miroslav Klose to make the front pages with what would be a record-breaking goal.

The veteran forward is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up for the match against the hosts knowing that a single strike will see him move ahead of Brazil legend Ronaldo as the highest ever scorer at the World Cup finals.

This match could prove his last chance to achieve the feat and as such Ladbrokes is offering 15/8 on the Germany ace to find the back of the net at any point during the match – including extra time!

Attempting to stop Klose though, will be newly-appointed Brazil captain David Luiz.

However, while the PSG defender will be doing his best to keep the Germans at bay his eye for goal makes him a tempting bet to score for the Selecao.

And, after his thundering free-kick against Colombia in the quarters, Ladbrokes has priced the crazy-haired one to net directly from a free-kick again at 16/1.

There’s also a tempting price for those that feel Luiz will shun attacking in order to make up for Silva’s absence with the bookmaker going 5/2 on a Brazil clean sheet.
