Foul-mouthed Fury to make Chisora cough up again on latest wager

Tyson Fury’s world heavyweight title eliminator against fellow Brit Derek Chisora took another twist during a heated press conference, which resulted in the feuding pair shaking on a £10,000 personal wager.

In a London cinema, a little over a week before the scheduled bout at Manchester’s Phones4u Arena, Chisora goaded Fury by claiming he’d steak £10,000 of his own wonga on knocking out his opponent.

Although undefeated Fury – the 1/2 favourite to claim a second career win over the defending European Heavyweight champion – initially balked at the bet by claiming he’d happily stake £100,000, the pair shook on £10k in front of the cameras.

It appears 13/8 outsider Chisora clearly hasn’t learnt the lessons from his last defeat in the ring to David Haye back in 2012.

Before that multi-belt bout at Upton Park, Del Boy had bet Haymaker £20k of his own money that he’d win the fight, only to be stopped in the fifth round.

A suitably red-faced Chisora later ended up paying his dues to charity.

Even though the Zimbabwean-born fighter has gone onto record five wins since that defeat to Haye, Chisora hasn’t beaten anyone of real note, other than American Kevin Johnson – also defeated by Fury previously.

Despite fine-tuning his physique markedly since losing to Fury on points back in 2011, catching Fury with a one-off shot or flurry appears his only hope. Chisora briefly had the Manchester United fan staggering in round two at Wembley Arena after catching him with a left-hook and a right.

However, giving up eight inches to his opponent in height means Fury can comfortably box behind his jab without having to land the killer blow.

Fury’s 22-0 record, with 16 knockouts, should stay unblemished even if he needs to wash his mouth out with soap and water.
