EU Commissioner race enters final furlong – the latest odds.

It looks like we could be hearing who David Cameron proposes to nominate in the next 48 hours.

Several new names have been floated over the weekend. The latest speculation is it that might be a woman and the PM is leaning towards it not being an MP, thus saving the hassle of a by-election. Baroness Wheatcroft at 12/1, Lady Hogg at 16/1 and Baroness Warsi at 20/1 tick those boxes.

The Telegraph fancy the chances of David Willetts, now 6/1 from 20/1. The Guardian mention Archie Norman, straight in at 16/1.
