World Cup Watch: Spurs should pull out stops for Colombia ace

Luckily for Poch there’s a World Cup on, meaning the Argentine needn’t travel further than his settee for any scouting missions.
Here are three players set to turn out in Brazil who we feel could improve the current White Hart Lane collection.
Jackson Martinez – Colombia –Striker
Injury to international strike partner Radamel Falcao places more of his nation’s goal-grabbing hopes onto Martinez’s shoulders, though his joint 10/3 favouritism to top score for Colombia suggests he’ll be ok with that.
Another 23 goals for Porto this season to add to the 29 from the previous campaign means Martinez is hot property, and property that has hinted he wants a move to the Premier League this summer.
With Roberto Soldado turning out to be a dud, Martinez would be the perfect replacement.
Yuto Nagatomo – Japan – Left-back
Tottenham’s decision to loan out Benoit Assou-Ekotto to QPR for the season turned out to be a pretty poor one.
Neither Danny Rose nor natural right-back Kyle Naughton cut the mustard there this season and can’t be relied upon long-term.
Inter’s Japanese wing-back could offer far more potency going forward and is a natural left-footer.
Mathieu Debuchy – France – Right-back
Newcastle’s right-back was one of many who appeared to lose interest in the cause up at St James’ Park this season as Alan Pardew’s side slumped to seven defeats from their last eight games.
Debuchy’s stock has certainly dropped since the Frenchman’s eye-catching performances at Euro 2012 but the fact he is still Les Bleus’ first-choice right back says a lot about his ability.
