Suarez Bite Ban: How the world reacted to Luis’ World Cup chomp

Published:

Luis Suarez’s Uruguay and Liverpool team-mates will be ruing the controversial striker’s actions once again after Fifa handed the chomp chump a four-month worldwide ban.

The news has see the Reds drift from 7/1 to 15/2 to land the Premier League trophy this coming season and has prompted a response from everyone and their dog.

Here Ladbrokes News sums up the reaction in the immediate aftermath of the ban.

Tennis star Andy Murray was his usual dynamic self when stating that biting another person is wrong …

“I don’t know how that would come into your thinking. Well obviously he’s not thinking – there’s obviously something not quite right there, because I think it’s the third time he’s done it now,” he said.

“You can understand sometimes someone lashing out or whatever. But the biting’s far too much.”

It was only a matter of time before someone did it but this mash up of Suarez and Charlie of “bit my finger” fame is up there with the best of the Vines…

Match of the Day host Gary Lineker pondered how events will affect new Barca boss Luis Enrique..

Joey Barton seemed to excuse Suarez’s behaviour (but later described his actions as indefensible)

And, never one to miss a marketing opportunity, the people at Peperami got in on the lighter side of the story…
