Larry the Ladbrokes Sportlobster finally goes against England

| 23.06.2014

It’s fair to say that much like the England team, Larry the Ladbrokes Sportslobster hasn’t been in fine form during this summer’s World Cup.

But just as Roy Hodgson’s boys are aiming to bow out in style, Larry is also attempting one last shot at redemption by plumping for a Costa Rica victory against their beleaguered opponents.

So, where did it all go wrong?

Having tipped England to beat Italy in their ill-fated Group D opener our cryptic crustacean then backed the Three Lions to bounce back against Uruguay.

And we all know what happened there.

More heartbreak followed the 2-1 reverse against La Celeste with England exiting the World Cup at the group stage for the first time since 1958.

However, with this final prediction Larry has at least got the chance to salvage some pride.

Our clawed chum’s attempt to inspire an unpatriotic punt may not go down well with the majority of England fans.

But there is one supporter who wouldn’t mind seeing his country’s football team go home in disgrace.

Scott Jardine stands to win £3000 if Costa Rica claim all three points after backing Los Ticos to win all of their World Cup group games at odds of 600/1.

Check out his full story here and watch Larry’s final prediction below!

Costa Rica – 10/3
Draw – 13/5
England – 17/20
