GAA Super Bonus Acca: Mayo primed to book Connact final place

Published:

We’re anticipating another weekend of action-packed GAA action from across the Irish Sea and once again Ladbrokes have pulled together an enticing accumulator to help set the mood.

With both the football and hurling county championships approaching a thrilling conclusion, here’s a 4/1 four-fold to light the blue touch paper.

MAYO to beat Roscommon @ 1/5 – Connacht SFC Semi-Final

Roscommon may enjoy home advantage but they’ll be hard pushed to stop a Mayo outfit who are chasing a fourth straight Connacht crown.

The fact that the hosts have failed to land a Championship win against their opponents in the last 14 years is also damning with this inferiority reflected in the odds.

Mayo’s renowned defensive solidity is likely to see them through this encounter.

And even with captain Andy Moran left on the bench their chances of progression shouldn’t be hindered with the continued full fitness of corner forward Cillian O’Connor, coupled with the team’s all-round strengths, surely enough to see them over the line.

KILDARE to beat Louth @ 1/4 – Leinster SFC Quarter-Final

Both teams come into this tie with their respective line-ups struggling for both form and fitness.

Kildare have been particularly affected, with key defenders Eoin Doyle and Peter Kelly, alongside forward Darroch Mulhall ruled out for this contest.

But when it comes to the crunch, the absence of star man Shane Lennon for Louth could be the deciding factor.

Despite being a team in transition, Kildare have the power to dominate when these sides meet at Croke Park and follow-up their eight-point victory when the pair met last year.

ARMAGH to beat Cavan @ Evens – Ulster SFC Quarter-Final

There will be no repeat of last year’s upset, when Cavan were four-point victors, as Armagh look set to make the most of their home advantage.

Jamie Clarke can help the hosts put Cavan to the sword and justify his team’s slight favouritism as well as help salvage some pride from a poor league campaign that resulted in relegation from Division 2.

The anticipated returns of James Morgan and Ciaran McKeever will also shore up the home team’s defence and ensure a safe passage to the semi-final.

CORK to beat Waterford @ 1/3 – Munster SHC Quarter-Final Replay

Having been hot favourites to win the first encounter at odds of 1/5, Cork will be keen to put this one to bed and make no mistakes second time around.

Last year’s All Ireland runners-up had to survive an almighty scare in the original fixture, coming from nine points down against Waterford, with substitute Bill Cooper kick-starting a Cork fightback.

Cooper has now been promoted from the bench to take centre stage up-front, with fellow forwards Seamus Harnedy and Patrick Horgan unlikely to be as quiet this weekend.

Have Waterford blown their big chance to progress?
