Be like Mr Brightside and bet responsibly during the World Cup

| 18.06.2014

Having a flutter throughout this summer’s World Cup? Like millions of people across the country you might be getting stuck into the hundreds of markets available on the fiesta of football.

And to encourage customers to keep betting a pleasurable leisure activity, we’re actively promoting a responsible gambling message across the board during the tournament in Brazil.

Here at Ladbrokes we’ve been busy outlining our on-going commitment to ensuring that having a bet remains sociable, memorable and above all – fun!

Commitment to Responsible Gambling

So, what exactly is ‘responsible gambling’ and how are we engaging with customers to ensure they stay in control?

–  Keeping it fun.  We believe betting is all about the F word, fun.  It should be enjoyable and not seen as a way of making money. If your gambling results in stress than you’re doing it wrong.

–  No under 18s allowed.  It’s the law and one that we’re willing to break. As for anyone over 18, we’d never knowingly serve someone who was unable to make a responsible decision about risk.

–  Responsibility from the high street to your living room. Our staff are trained to spot signs of problem gambling in-shop and will encourage customers to seek support where necessary.

The secret to success? Be like Mr Brightside!

Check out Mr Brightside’s gambling philosophy below. One of the stars of The Ladbrokes Life adverts, this guy never lets a bad bet ruin a good night. And neither should you!
