Price Boost: In-form Tevez backed for success in Turin

Carlos Tevez has found his shooting boots this week and ahead of Juventus’ Europa League semi-final second leg against Benfica Ladbrokes is giving the Argentine striker their customary price boost treatment.

The 30-year-old was 4/1 to score the first goal of the game against the Portuguese side but now he looks excellent value at 5/1 with the bookmaker to net first at Juventus Stadium.

The Argentine’s confidence will be sky high going into this vital clash after an excellent strike in the first leg in Portugal ended a run of five years without a goal in European competition.

The former Manchester City man’s goal scoring form has not stopped after he notched the equaliser in Juve’s 3-1 win over Sassuolo to take his tally for the season to 20 goals in all competitions.

And with Tevez netting the first goal of the game on eight occasions in the black and white of the Old Lady this season his influence can be apparent again tonight.

The Argentina international also looks a good price at 11/10, as pointed out by the Ladbrokes News Team, to make it three consecutive games with a goal by scoring at any time during the match.

Elsewhere, Tevez’s striker partner Fernando Llorente has also enjoyed a fruitful first season with the Italian giants, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.

The Spanish striker, who is also on at odds of 5/1 to score first, has fired four goals in his last five appearances, including a strike on Monday night alongside Tevez as Juve all but wrapped up the Serie A title.

Antonio Conte’s charges, who trail 2-1 from the first leg, are 4/7 for victory in Turin with Benfica 5/1 and the draw priced at 11/4.

And those odds reflect the fact that Juve are unbeaten in 25 matches in all competitions at home and have not lost in front of their home fans in this competition.

Tevez will be a key part of proceedings against Jorge Jesus’ side if the Bianconeri are to go on and reach the Europa League final and win the competition, something they are 6/4 with the bookie to achieve.
