In-form Anderson banker of the night in Newcastle

| 08.05.2014

The race for the Premier League Darts play-offs continues in Newcastle with Phil Taylor, Peter Wright and Gary Anderson all chasing a spot at finals night.

With that in mind, our news team takes a look at three of the best bets for the night’s action at the Metro Radio Arena:

Banker – Anderson to beat Chisnall @ 4/6

With Phil Taylor and Peter Wright meeting later in the evening, Gary Anderson will be looking to steal a march on his play-off rivals with victory over Dave Chisnall.

The Flying Scotsman, who leads Chizzy 4-1 in head-to-heads, is unbeaten in his last five in the Premier League and after an excellent victory over world champion Michael van Gerwen last week he looks the banker of the night in Newcastle.

Shock of the Night – Thornton to beat Lewis @ 6/4

It promises to be another tough Premier League night for an out-of-sorts Adrian Lewis on Tyneside and we are siding with Robert Thornton to continue his good recent form with victory.

In what is a dead rubber, it’s difficult to see Jackpot rediscovering his touch so side with the Thorn to cause an upset at decent odds of 6/4.

Dutch Delight for RVB and MVG! Van Barneveld and Van Gerwen to draw @ 4/1

There could be plenty off fireworks when these two Dutch superstars take to the oche this top-of-the table clash at the Metro Radio Arena.

With both RVB and MVG needing a point to secure their places in the play-offs we are plumping for a stalemate between the Dutch pair, which leaves both players happy.

Mighty Mike will be desperate to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Gary Anderson but Barney, who has lost just once in this season’s competition, can win at least six legs again this week to continue his unbeaten run.
