Boosted Hazard can show Chelsea commitment by bagging opener

| 04.05.2014

In a week where Eden Hazard’s commitment to the Chelsea cause has been questioned by Jose Mourinho, the Belgian ace has the perfect chance to dispel his manager’s claims by scoring against Norwich and keeping the Blues’ title hopes alive.

To enhance Sunday’s Premier League punting fun, Ladbrokes are taking one for the team yet again by boosting the price of two hot shots to fire the opening goals of their respective live televised clashes.

In the early kick-off Arsenal can celebrate yet another season of Champions League qualification by toasting West Brom at the Emirates, while Chelsea can all-but consign Norwich to the Championship with victory at Stamford Bridge.

Olivier Giroud to score first v West Brom was 3/1 now 4/1

The Gunners have located their ammo at just the right time to secure fourth spot in the Premier League, having scored exactly three goals in their last three league games to take nine points.

A central figure in that Champions-League securing flurry of wins and indeed the whole season is Arsenal’s top scorer in the Premier League with 15, Olivier Giroud.

Not only has the former Montpellier man scored twice in his last three top-flight appearances, he’s also the most deadly deadlock-breaker in the Premier League with seven opening goals to date.

Eden Hazard to score first v Norwich was 4/1 now 5/1

After a week of stinging criticism from his manager, Eden Hazard will need little extra motivation than making Mourinho eat his words against Norwich at Stamford Bridge.

And the man who not only leads the way in league goals for his club (14), but has also created the most goal-scoring opportunities in the entire Premier League, probably has every reason to feel aggrieved.

Hazard was on target against the Canaries in the reverse fixture at Carrow Road and looks a great price to fire the opener and silence his manager in west London.
