BGT: Bars & Melody hit gold with head judge Cowell

Published:

From Frenchmen dancing in high-heels to the Spice Girls to Simon Cowell’s namesake singing a Diana Ross song we had to all in week five of the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

Here we take a look at some of the best acts to come from the latest round of auditions and where they feature in Ladbrokes’ BGT winner market:

Yanis, Arnaud And Mehdi – 100/1

“On Paper it sounds hideous! Three guys from France dancing in high-heels to the Spice Girls and yet, it kind of worked.”  Only on BGT would you see an act like this but Frenchmen Yanis, Arnaud and Medhi danced, in high-heels no less, their way into the next round of the competition. The trio are now 100/1 to be crowned BGT champions.

Jon Clegg – 16/1

For his finale impressionist Jon Clegg, who is now 16/1 for BGT glory, hoisted his trousers above his waist and exposed his chest! Immediately Simon Cowell’s hand started to hover over his buzzer when it became clear Clegg was going to give his very own impression of the judge. But John’s bravery paid off as his impersonations of Homer and Marge Simpson, Louis Walsh and Simon wowed all four judges.

Bars & Melody – 3/1

There was not a dry eye to be seen as Simon Cowell showed he had a heart and finally pressed his Golden Buzzer! And we now have new favourites to win Britain’s Got Talent after Bars & Melody brought the house down with their own rendition of Hope by Twista and Faith Evans. The rap/singing duo which features 15-year-old Charlie and 13-year-old Leondre are now 3/1 with Ladbrokes to win the talent show after being sent straight through to the live shows.

The Addictive Initiative – 25/1

Another week, another dance troupe but The Addictive Initiative gave a performance with a twist which had the judges spooked and impressed. The dance group, with members aged between 17 and 30, performed a haunting routine which told the story about a girl who was captured by evil witches and saw them go straight in at 25/1 to win the show!

And Finally….Erm Simon Cowell – 200/1

The winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2014 is…..Simon Cowell! Well maybe not judge Simon Cowell anyway. In a bizarre twist on Saturday we found out there is not one but two Simon Cowell’s out there! Simon – a 37-year-old singer from Berwick, Northumberland –belted out the hit When You Tell Me That You Love Me by Diana Ross and with no-one allowed to say No to Simon Cowell, Simon Cowell took his place in the next round! Confused? You will be!
