Peterborough and Preston picked in League One accumulator
As the season draws to a close in League One, the promotion picture is almost complete, but that doesn’t mean form sides like Wolves and Brentford shouldn’t be backed.
The soon-to-be-Championship teams are great picks to win alongside playoff hopefuls Rotherham, Preston and Peterborough in a fivefold accumulator on at odds of just over 20/1 with Ladbrokes.
That translates to a return of £211.50 off a £10 stake with the bookmaker and best of all, these particular selections qualify for our One Out? Our Shout! offer which means that, in the event one of the five fails to win, we will refund your original stake as a free bet!*
Brentford may already be promoted but with Colchester in free-fall, the Bees should still be backed to record what would be their fourth consecutive win over the Us and a fourth win from their last six in League One. With Colchester picking up one win in eight, this looks a banker.
Another side heading to the Championship, Kenny Jacket is still eager to secure a record points haul in League One and a trip to Midlands rivals Coventry is the perfect opportunity. Wolves have won seven of their last eight and with their hosts without a victory in five, the visitors should be favoured.
Out of contention for an automatic promotion spot, Preston are still jostling for position in the play-offs and having won four on the bounce at Deepdale will be expected to turn over a Gills team without a win in three on the road and little else to play for.
Like Preston, Rotherham will be eager to claim third spot and a favourable playoff semi-final and are in good form at home, having gone 10 unbeaten. Mid-table MK Dons, meanwhile, have one win in six with many of Karl Robinson’s team already seemingly preparing for the summer holidays.
One of the few sides with something serious to play for in the upper half of League One, the Posh can secure a play-off spot with victory away at a Shrewsbury team that has lost three on the bounce going into this one. We expect Darren Ferguson’s side to do just that.
