Norwich’s great tormentor boosted to score first for Liverpool

Willem II in Holland can share Norwich’s pain, as they are the only other club that Luis Suarez has enjoyed slotting past as much as the Premier League relegation battlers.

During spells at both Groningen and Ajax, Suarez netted 11 times in nine appearances against the now-second-tier club, the most goals he’d scored against any one team during his career.

Then, he moved to Liverpool and met Norwich. In just five short matches against the Canaries he’s equalled that tally and, given the season he’s having, looks well set to make the Norfolk-based club his most bullied, with a few more strikes.

Suarez has been boosted to score the first goal when Liverpool’s title challenge takes to the Carrow Road pitch, out from 11/4 to 3/1, and considering no player has broken the deadlock more often than the eight times the Uruguayan has done it this season, it’s well worth lumping on.

Suarez didn’t score in his debut appearance against Norwich (he didn’t bag in his first two against Willem either) but has since scored three hat-tricks, either side of a single-goal haul, to take his tally sky-high.

In three of those four games in which he found the Canary net, the former Arsenal target managed to bag himself the first goal of the game.

With Liverpool sure to be revved up at the chance of taking another step closer to their first Premier League title, it would be remiss not to have a punt on Suarez leading the charge against his favourite opposition.

Considering Suarez’s goals against the men in yellow and green come in bunches, this writer would be doing Ladbrokes customers a disservice if he didn’t highlight the 7/4 on a Suarez brace and 9/1 about another hat-trick as other superb betting options.
