Norwich v Liverpool: Reds to close on title with Canaries rout

Last time Norwich beat Liverpool Prince was at number one with ‘Most Beautiful Girl in the World’ but it is Liverpool who will secure top spot this weekend with the most beautiful football in the league.
The Reds are closing in on a first Premier League title and while Norwich – just two points above the drop zone – will be fighting for their lives, Brendan Rodgers’ men are certain to enhance their credentials with an emphatic win here.
Since that last victory for the Canaries – in April 1994 – Liverpool have drawn one and won eight of the nine meetings between the clubs but it is the latest three that tell you all you need to know about this Sunday’s early kick-off.
The Kop faithful have seen their side smash a staggering 15 goals past Norwich in those three games at exactly five per match so it’s no surprise to see the visitors billed as 2/5 favourites to take all three points at Carrow Road.
Norwich fans, taking confidence from a run that has seen their side lose just one of their last seven home games, can back a Canaries win at 6/1, while the draw – which in reality is the absolute best they can hope for – is available at 4/1.
The shear ease with which Liverpool have swatted Norwich aside of late though, means better value can be had elsewhere.
With Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge in scintillating form, another five-goal haul could well be on the cards, so taking the 14/5 on the Reds scoring four or more goals could prove a shrewd move.
Those expecting exactly five goals, however, could be swayed by the better odds available in the Correct Score market, with 5-0 and 5-1 both on at 25/1 or 5-2 on at 40/1.
A sterner test of Liverpool’s title credentials will come in the shape of Chelsea next week but until then the Reds will look every inch the champions-elect against the sorry Canaries.
