Money Back If Any European Wins The Masters
This fantastic promotion is already running and includes four of the top 10 in the betting including of course, joint-favourite, Rory Mcllroy (8/1).
Fellow Major winner Justin Rose (25/1), Sergio Garcia (20/1) and Henrik Stenson (25/1) are all prominent in the market and will give punters having a bet a lot of peace of mind when the tournament begins.
Westwood warmed up for another tilt at one of the increasingly elusive big ones with one of the better final rounds at the Shell Houston Open warm-up event as the 40-year-old finished tied for 17th.
It was also an encouraging performance for Mcllroy ahead of his trip down Magnolia Lane with the two-time Major winner moving up 30 places over the final 18 holes with the lowest round of anyone on Sunday, a 65 which moved him up to seventh.
The Northern Irishman will be desperate to continue that good form into this week with the memories of his 2011 final round still making sleep difficult.
The 24-year-old was four shots clear as he began his Sunday round but shot the worst score of any player leading at that stage in the history of the event to eventually finish tied for 15th.
The pain of that was eased in full only two months later when breaking his duck at the US Open where he broke the 72-hole course record when obliterating the field by eight shots.
This is all good news for those preparing their selections for Thursday as this year’s market looks no easier to solve than the recent Grand National.
