Three home wins tipped in Championship Accumulator

Published:

Leicester City could seal promotion to the Premier League this weekend – with seven games to spare – but there is still plenty to play for elsewhere in the Championship.

Bournemouth can maintain their late push for the play-offs with a win over former manager Harry Redknapp’s QPR, while Charlton can go a step closer to safety with three points from Reading.

Backing all three of these home wins looks a shrewd bet at odds of nearly 9/1 with a £10 stake returning a healthy £99.31.

And, with Ladbrokes’ ‘One Out? Our Shout!’ offer refunding losing stakes when one team lets you down in fivefolds or more*, why not throw in victories for Wigan and Blackpool to boost those odds to 30/1?

Leicester City to beat Sheffield Wednesday @ 4/9

The Foxes need other results to go their way to guarantee promotion this weekend but Nigel Pearson’s men can be relied upon to uphold their end of the bargain.

The King Power Stadium residents are unbeaten in 20 Championship games, winning eight of their last 10 at home, and with the Premier League promised land in touching distance they have all the motivation they need to claim three points.

Wednesday have won three of the last four meetings between the two but having lost four of their last seven games – including a heavy 4-1 defeat to Watford last time out – they look ill prepared to enhance that run here.

AFC Bournemouth to beat Queen Park Rangers @ 6/4

That the Cherries go into this game as favourites highlights the form that Eddie Howe’s team have built in recent weeks.

The south coast club have lost just one of their last nine at Dean Court and come into this tie on the back of three successive wins.

Now just five points off the play-offs, Howe will be confident that he can get one over his club’s most successful boss, especially with Rangers having lost four of their last six away from Loftus Road.

The Hoops secured a comfortable 3-0 win in the reverse fixture earlier this year, but on current form it is the hosts who have to backed in this one.

Charlton to beat Reading @ 7/4

Reading are clinging on to the final play-off spot at present and this is largely down to the solid away form that has seen them win five of their last six on the road.

However, The Valley has never been a happy hunting ground for Nigel Adkins’ men, with the Addicks losing just one of the last five meetings there, and with relegation still a real threat the hosts have all the motivation they need for the win.

Jose Riga’s men are unbeaten in five of their last seven games in front of their own fans and will be riding high on confidence after a 1-0 win over Leeds last time out.
