Great escape can continue for Barnsley with victory over Leeds

Published:

Another day, another set of fixtures as we reach the climax of the Championship season and our news team have come up with another enticing treble this Easter Saturday.

With promotion and survival hopes still very much in the minds of most teams in the English second tier we are backing Barnsley, Nottingham Forest and Watford for victories in this 9/1 treble.

A £10 stake on these selections to win returns £96.40 but if you are feeling confident why not add Middlesbrough (19/20) and Leicester (evens) to make a 37/1 home fivefold. This will qualify you for our One Out? Our Shout! offer* where if one of your selections lets you down we will return your original stake as a free bet!

Barnsley to beat Leeds @ 13/10

The great escape is still on after Barnsley sealed a 2-0 win over relegation rivals Charlton at The Valley in midweek.

And the Tykes, who are two points away from safety, can keep alive their survival dream by taking all three points against a Leeds side on a run of four straight defeats on the road.

Nottingham Forest to beat Birmingham @ 19/20

Nottingham Forest’s play-off hopes were all but extinguished with defeat at Loftus Road but they can give themselves a glimmer of hope with victory over Birmingham.

On a run of 13 games without a win, it’s fair to say Gary Brazil’s side are out of form but in their last two matches against Sheffield Wednesday and QPR they showed signs of a return to form.

And with the likes Henri Lansbury and David Vaughan back in contention we are backing the Reds to restore some pride with victory over Birmingham.

Watford to beat Ipswich @ 23/20

The Hornets are another side on the fringes of the race for the play-offs but Giuseppe Sannino will know anything but a win over Ipswich will make it impossible for his side to finish in the top six.

And the Italian manager will be banking on his side keeping up their formidable recent home record against Mick McCarthy’s side.

Watford are unbeaten in their last eight league matches at Vicarage Road and will have to be at their very best to contain the in-form Tractor Boys, but after conceding just four goals in nine games at home we are backing them for victory.
