Iranian sensation to step up with a goal in the Cottagers’ crunch meeting with the Canaries

Norwich and Fulham head into Saturday’s relegation six-pointer at Craven Cottage knowing that defeat could signal the end of their respective Premier League tenures and here are four men who can make the difference.

The East Anglia club face a tough run in of fixtures including meetings with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea and though they sit five points above Fulham, defeat to the Londoners would be disastrous.

Ladbrokes has Felix Magath’s charges priced as the 23/20 favourites for victory, while Neil Adams’ team are outsiders for the win at 5/2 with a draw available at 12/5.

With so much riding on the match, we’ve picked out for men who could lead the way with goals.

Ashkan Dejagah to score anytime @ 10/3

The 27-year-old midfielder has stepped up to the mark in recent weeks at Craven Cottage, making him a good pick to pop up with a goal here.

A consolation strike against Everton and the winner in a priceless 1-0  victory against Newcastle over the Londoners’ last two home fixtures suggests he is developing an eye for goal and having already found the net against Norwich in a 3-0 FA Cup win earlier this term, he’s worth backing.

Darren Bent to score anytime @ 7/4

Having sat out last weekend’s crucial victory over parent club Aston Villa, Bent will be desperate to make an impact and fire Fulham to Premier League safety.

The good news is that the former Tottenham man has a good record against Norwich this season, scoring in both their league and FA Cup clashes with the Canaries and could be in line for another one here.

Robert Snodgrass to score anytime @ 5/2

One of the few Norwich players who can hold his head up high this term, Snodgrass has managed a commendable five goals in 25 top-flight appearances for the club this term, including important strikes in wins over Tottenham and Sunderland.

More notably still, it was Snodgrass who opened the scoring when these two met at Carrow Road earlier in the season, so it wouldn’t be a massive surprise to see him back among the goals again.

Wes Hoolahan to score anytime @ 4/1

Another midfielder who has put in a decent shift – and certainly a more reliable prospect for a goal than their current strike force – Hoolahan has looked lively in recent weeks, scoring and putting in a good performance in an otherwise abject 4-1 loss to Villa for the Canaries.

Having impressed with an assist on the team’s last trip to East Anglia, don’t be surprised to see the Republic of Ireland international go one better here.
