Aston Villa to misfire among four best Premier League bets

Published:

Looking for something different this weekend? We’ve assembled four alternative bets for Saturday’s 3pm Premier League kick-offs which will make your mouth water and (hopefully) put money in your pocket.

We’ll still give you the traditional Win-Draw-Win prices. But we think that by following our slightly more leftfield options you’ll be on the path to surefire success.

Fulham (5/4) v Hull (21/10), draw 12/5

It’ll be a tense affair at Craven Cottage where Felix Magath’s Fulham side aim to keep their survival hopes alive against Hull.

Steve Bruce’s Tigers mauled the Londoners when the pair met in the reverse fixture, running out 6-0 winners at the KC Stadium.

But with so much on the line a similar scoreline looks unlikely with the stats suggesting a much closer encounter will ensue.

Four of Fulham’s five league home wins have been secured by a one goal margin while  Hull have lost out on the road by just the odd goal on six previous occasions this term.

Plumping for Fulham to win by one goal here is on at odds of 3/1 with Ladbrokes.

Stoke (2/1) v Tottenham (13/10), draw 12/5

Three of Stoke’s last four home successes at the Fortress Britannia have been by a 1-0 scoreline, an eventuality that’s available at 9/1 when Tottenham visit the Potteries.

But rather than opt for another gritty victory for the hosts we’re going to focus on how their opponents might lure Mark Hughes’ side into a full-blown goalfest.

Spurs have netted 16 times in their last six games in all competitions but having conceded nine goals in the process we could be in for an open affair.

Stick something on over 3.5 goals at 21/10 and you could be celebrating alongside a host of scorers.

Swansea (7/10) v Aston Villa (4/1), draw 13/5

Both of these sides are still anxiously looking over their shoulder but it’s Garry Monk’s Swans who should be left smiling at the end of this match-up.

Paul Lambert’s Villa lacked punch up-front even with Christian Benteke leading the line and have been toothless since the Belgian suffered a season-ending injury.

The Midlands side have failed to net in three of their last four away trips with odds on Villa going under the ignominious 0.5 line at the Liberty Stadium a tempting 6/5.

West Brom (19/20) v West Ham (14/5), draw 5/2

West Brom sit just one point above the dropzone and will be desperate for a result at home to a West Ham side already planning for next season.

They might not have it all their own way though. The Hammers have scored in five of their previous seven matches away from Upton Park and have collected a point on each of their last two visits to the Black Country.

It’s 4/6 for both teams to score, an outcome that makes even more appeal when you consider the fact that the Baggies have only failed to find the back of the net in two of their 17 Premier League games at The Hawthorns.
