Cheltenham to beat Torquay @ 10/11

Torquay would have been dead and buried at the bottom of League Two were it not for a shock home win over high-flying Rochdale on Tuesday night, but that result may ultimately only be a stay of execution for a side that seems destined for Conference football next term.

Cheltenham have picked up form in recent weeks, losing just one of their last five and claiming three wins along the way to put themselves back in the play-off picture. A win against a Gulls side that has lost three of their last four on the road looks a given.

Chesterfield to beat Oxford United @ 8/11

The wheels have well and truly come off Oxford’s season in the last few weeks, with the Us picking up just four points from the last 18 available and currently on a run of three straight losses in League Two.

A trip to top of the table Chesterfield looks a tough proposition, with the Spireites losing just two of their last 16 games at home and no doubt relishing another encounter with Oxford – a side they have beaten in each of their previous three meetings.

Hartlepool to beat Bristol Rovers @ 5/4

Hartlepool are looking to crash the play-off party, but if Colin Cooper is serious about making the cut the Monkey Hangers will need to maintain their fine record at Victoria Park – fortunately a home fixture with a Bristol Rovers side that travels poorly is the perfect opportunity.

The Gas have won just one of their last 11 games played on the road and with the Pools picking up three wins and a draw from their last four home games in League Two, celebrity supporter Jeff Stelling should be smiling this Saturday.

With Burton breathing down their necks in the battle for automatic promotion, Rochdale will know a home encounter against Accrington represents the closest thing to a must win game as the season winds up.

James Beattie’s team still sit perilously close to the relegation zone and could struggle again here having lost back-to-back games on the road. Rochdale won 2-1 in Accrington earlier in the season and look likely to complete the double.

York City to beat Wycombe @ 21/20

League Two’s surprise form team York have picked up 14 points from the last 18 available to give themselves a realistic chance of promotion this term under former Norwich boss Nigel Worthington.

Wycombe had been in good nick themselves until a 1-0 setback against Plymouth last time out, but with hosts York looking for a fourth straight victory and the Chairboys winning just one of their last five on the road, the Minstermen should edge this one.
