Three top bets to back for Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland

Published:

Currently on a run of six consecutive wins in the Premier League, Liverpool look likely winners against a Sunderland team in dire straits and deep in the relegation mire and here are three great bets that can help you capitalise on the Reds’ run.

The 14/1 Black Cats have picked up just one point from the last 12 available to them and though they remain just three points from safety, a trip to Anfield where they will meet Luis Suarez and a free scoring Reds team who are 1/6 to win looks a daunting prospect.

Luis Suarez to score two or more @ 2/1

Five goals in his last three league outings have helped Suarez get back to the goalscoring heights he hit on a weekly basis back at the start of the season and we reckon the Uruguayan is going to continue his fine run of finding the net against Sunderland.

The former Ajax man has made a habit of scoring against the Black Cats, with braces in each of his previous two encounters with the north east side and after scoring a hat-trick against another

struggling side in the form of Cardiff last week, he looks likely to pick up where he left off here.

Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals to be scored @ 11/10

The Reds have won acclaim from many a Premier League neutral thanks to the fast, attacking style of play that has been witnessed on a regular basis by the Anfield faithful. The Reds are in great goalscoring form on their own turf, scoring four or more in each of their last three wins there.

They also head into this game off the back of putting six past Cardiff a result which means they have scored 23 goals in their last six league outings. With Sunderland shipping three or more in three of their last four fixtures in the division, expect another big scoreline and win for the Merseysiders.

Liverpool to keep a clean sheet @ 4/5

After a bright start under Gustavo Poyet, Sunderland have fallen away and currently find themselves on a run of five games without a victory. More concerning still, is the lack of goals coming from the Black Cats, who have failed to find the net in each of their last three games.

With Fabio Borini unable to play against his parent club, attacking options are so sparse for the Mackems that they have moved to recall forgotten striker Connor Wickham from the Championship and could fail to find the net at Anfield – as they did when the teams met last term.
