Sri Lanka star can fire his way to the top of the run charts

In what looks a very competitive market West Indies star Chris Gayle, who is 9/1 with Ladbrokes, is sure to dominate most people’s thoughts with his swashbuckling hitting.

The 32-year-old may be seen as an outsider in this market but his record in the international T20 game speaks for itself and therefore he is hard to ignore at 25/1.
McCullum is the leading runscorer in T20 internationals by a huge distance with 1959 runs, leading the chasing pack by over 600 runs.
He is the only player to score two international hundreds in this form of the game and the Kiwi skipper has already shown he is in decent form heading into the tournament hitting an unbeaten 59 in his side’s defeat to Pakistan.
With Ladbrokes paying four places at 1/4 of the odds backing McCullum each way could be the shrewd selection of this T20 World Cup.
The Indian superstar is the leading batsman in the world in the 50-over game and it would be no surprise to see him transform that form to the 20-over format.
The expectation of the Indian public may rest on his shoulders for this tournament but the 25-year-old, who is ranked fourth in the ICC T20 batting rankings, thrives on the pressure and he is a real contender to lead run scoring charts in sub-continent conditions.
