Rotherham to win battle of League One’s in-form sides

Published:

It’s crunch time in League One with a whole host of teams still chasing automatic promotion so we have come up with a 13/1 fourfold from this crucial round of fixtures.

Rotherham are one of the form sides in the division and we have picked them for a home victory against another in-form side in Bristol City.

Added to that are wins for their promotion rivals Preston and Leyton Orient, while away day specialists Sheffield United complete the accumulator.

It doesn’t stop there though. Why not take advantage of Ladbrokes One Out! Our Shout!* offer by selecting Walsall (5/6) to beat Shrewsbury to make a 24/1 five-fold acca. If one of your selections lets you down we will refund your stake as a free bet!

Rotherham to beat Bristol City @ 4/5

It’s now six games without a defeat for in-form Bristol City but that run is set to end with a trip to New York Stadium to face Rotherham.

The Millers are on a 14-game unbeaten run themselves and come into this clash high in confidence after a 3-0 demolition job of league leaders Brentford.

Steve Evans’ side are in good shape for the play-offs but can keep up the push for automatic promotion with victory over the Robins.

Preston to beat Crawley @ 8/11

A 3-1 win over Peterborough saw Preston back to winning ways after their minor blip away at Swindon.

The Lilywhites are on an excellent run of form at Deepdale with two wins and three draws against the likes of Rotherham, Leyton Orient and in-form Sheffield United, and they can extend their unbeaten home record against Crawley.

Unless a disaster strikes Crawley are safe from relegation and they are not likely to mount a play-off challenge, so back a promotion chasing Preston to seal all three points.

Sheffield United to beat Swindon @ 6/4

The Blades have a real outside chance of sneaking into the play-offs but there is no room for error as they try to close a seven point gap to out-of-sorts Peterborough.

It’s been Nigel Clough’s side’s away form which has helped them pick up 25 points from a possible 30 in recent weeks and they can continue that trend at the County Ground.

Swindon will be a tough test for the FA Cup semi-finalists but after just one win from their last six at home in League One for the Robins, we are backing United to take maximum points.

Leyton Orient to beat Bradford @ 8/11

Orient’s challenge for automatic promotion has stalled in recent weeks but the visit of Bradford represents an excellent chance to get back to winning ways.

Just three points off the top two, The O’s will be desperate to keep the pressure up on Brentford and Wolves with victory over a Bantams side with just one win on the road from their last nine.

Bradford have won just three times from 18 visits to face Orient and they are set for more east London woe this time around.
