Palace v Chelsea: Blues will leave Eagles in perilous position

But don’t expect to see any chinks in their armour when they take on struggling Crystal Palace. The Blues may have suffered four defeats on the road so far this term but they’re almost impossible to oppose on this occasion.
Chelsea are 4/9 (8/13 with Ladbrokes’ Big Price Coupon) to see off the Eagles at Selhurst Park while the hosts are 13/2 to send their raucous home following into raptures with the draw priced at 10/3.
And given that they’re unbeaten in their last 12 league meetings with Palace, Chelsea are unlikely to give any ground in the Premier League title race when they make the trip across London.
That statistic doesn’t bode well for Tony Pulis’ side, winless in their last five matches and now nervously looking over their shoulder just three points above the relegation zone.
Palace are 3/4 to stay up but with nearest rivals Sunderland enjoying a game in hand on the south Londoners, another defeat would increase their relegation fears.
Scoring goals has been a particular problem with a paltry 19 Premier League goals scored this season, comfortably the worst total in the division.
Just one strike registered in their last five games tells its own story and with Chelsea shipping only three goals in their previous nine league matches the 5/4 on the visitors to win to nil is a value bet too good to pass up.
Meanwhile, the Blues were 2-1 victors in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge, with the same outcome available at 9/1 with Ladbrokes, but a more comprehensive scoreline this time around would not be surprising.
Chelsea have notched three or more goals in games on their travels five times this season and a 3-0 victory here is priced at 10/1 with the odds on a 4-0 success a standout 18/1.
