Three Denmark stars to watch for against England at Wembley

England head into this World Cup warm-up fixture with Denmark as firm favourites for victory but while the Scandinavians will be without Christian Eriksen, they still offer plenty of potent attacking options.

The Three Lions can be backed at 4/6 to win while the draw is available at 5/2 with Ladbrokes and those backing a Danish victory can get 9/2 on such an outcome.

But while Morten Olsen’s men are rank outsiders for victory, Roy Hodgson will be wary of the attacking threat they pose, with Denmark scoring in each of their previous three friendly meetings with England going into this game.

Nicklas Bendtner to score anytime @ 3/1

Bendtner may be on his way out of the Emirates this summer but the Arsenal man remains Denmark’s biggest goalscoring threat with an impressive 24 goals in 56 appearances for the national side.

He was particularly impressive at Euro 2012, scoring a brace for the Danes against England’s old foes Portugal and despite netting just twice for the Gunners this term, he remains the focal point of Denmark’s attack and their most potent goal threat.

Michael Krohn-Dehli to score anytime @ 6/1

The absence of teammate Christian Eriksen could see Michael Krohn-Dehli come to the fore for the Danes, with the midfielder proving himself a more than capable goal-threat in the past, cutting inside from the wing.

Having previously made his name with Brondby, the 30-year-old is now enjoying something of an Indian Summer with a second stint in Europe’s big leagues at Celta Vigo. International football fans will also be aware of his eye for goal, having previously seen the midfielder net twice for Denmark at Euro 2012 against big boys Holland and Germany.

Daniel Agger to score anytime @ 9/1

The current Denmark captain may have struggled for playing time this season with Liverpool but he remains a constant goal threat for club and country both with the ball at his feet and in the air from corners and set-pieces.

Agger has scored just once in 17 appearances for the Reds this term but last year was arguably his most prolific period for the national side, with the 29-year-old notching up four goals in eight appearances for Olsen’s team.
