Cheltenham: Ladbrokes offer 5 places on the Coral Cup!

Published:

Each-way backers can rejoice with Ladbrokes offering their customers 5 places on the Coral Cup. The tasty handicap is due to feature a whopping 28 runners with plenty of opportunities to grab some excellent value on day two of this year’s Cheltenham Festival.

Greatwood Hurdle winner Dell ‘Arca currently shares favouritism with Ladbrokes Boyne Hurdle victor Dunguib at odds of 10/1 but further down the betting there are a host of other contenders primed to take the spoils.

And with Ladbrokes now paying out 5 places there’s every reason to get stuck into one of the Festival’s hottest handicaps.

The Ruby Walsh-Willie Mullins partnership could strike again and follow-up yesterday’s two victories with a score here.

Indevan is their 14/1 priced mount, an entry with scope for improvement following a fourth at Cheltenham back in November.

The six-year-old should relish the firmer ground and ticks a number of recent trend boxes.

With seven of the previous nine Coral Cup winners being second season hurdlers and three of the last eight not racing in the calendar year, Ruby and Mullins may well pounce for a first renewal success.

Meanwhile, when it comes to form seven of the last 11 race victors had been successful last time out, a potentially significant statistical nod to Waaheb.

Dermot Weld’s charge turned over a Mullins-trained jolly in Turban on his previous appearance at Cork, a formline that looks all the more impressive given his beaten rival’s smart form in graded races since then.

Over hurdles at Cheltenham the 20/1 shot could find himself in the winners’ enclosure having also previously finished as a narrow runner-up on good ground in a Grade 1 bumper earlier in his career.

Leading fancy Dunguib also crossed the line in front last time, however, no winner in the renewal’s history has been rated over 148.

Whatever the outcome, with this latest offer from Ladbrokes you can increase your chances of earning yourself some more Festival ammo.
