Aguero is a steal to score first in Barcelona with Ladbrokes

The Camp Nou has been a fortress for Barcelona in the Champions League over the years but one Manchester City man who has the keys to unlock this particular castle is Sergio Aguero.

Back from injury and back in the Citizens starting IX, the 25-year-old will be eager to pick up where he left off in continental competition: namely scoring goals by the bucket load for the Emirates-backed club.

The Argentine has been in scintillating form for Manchester City domestically, scoring 15 in 17 Premier League appearances for the club, who remain 15/8 to regain the title they won back in 2012 – courtesy of a late Aguero goal.

However his form in Europe has been arguably just as good if not better, with the former Atletico Madrid forward bagging an impressive six goals in just five appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s team.

All of which makes the news that Ladbrokes have boosted the odds on Aguero scoring first against Barcelona that bit more exciting, with the Argentine going from 8/1 to 10/1 with the bookmakers.

City certainly struggled to break down Barcelona at the Etihad in the first leg, but the Catalans have endured something of a wobble since then, losing two games in La Liga and failing to keep a clean sheet in any of the three games played prior to this fixture.

The Citizens will have been particularly heartened by Barca’s recent 3-1 loss to Real Sociedad – a side that David Moyes’ weak Manchester United team brushed aside in the Champions League group stage.

And Aguero certainly has fond memories of finding the net against the reigning La Liga champions, having previously scored six goals against the Catalans during his five year spell in Spain with Atleti.

With two of those goals coming against Victor Valdes at the Camp Nou, don’t be surprised to see the Argentine in amongst the action from the off here and make sure you don’t miss out by backing this fantastic offer from Ladbrokes.
