Sheffield United and Crewe to win in League One accumulator

Published:

There’s big money to be won in League One this midweek with a fourfold accumulator backing away wins for Crewe, Rotherham and Sheffield United.

This tasty trio are picked alongside home side Oldham in a bet offering combined odds of over 50/1 or a return of £522.30 for anyone staking £10 on these particular selections with Ladbrokes.

Sheffield United to beat Colchester @ 23/20

The Blades have been in scintillating form since their extra time win over Fulham in the FA Cup and head into this game off the back of five straight wins in all competitions.

Colchester, by contrast, are winless in three and have struggled for consistency at home, losing five of their last eight fixtures played at the Colchester Community Stadium. Sheffield United will be confident of victory here too having beaten the U’s at the ground in the Cup earlier in the season.

Oldham to beat MK Dons @ 8/5

A 1-0 victory over Gillingham maintained Oldham’s recent resurgence with the Latics losing just one of their last five and Lee Johnson will be looking to make it three straight wins over MK Dons at Boundary Park.

Their Milton Keynes opponents are on a miserable run on the road that has seen them lose three of their last four away games including defeat last time out to a Bradford side that had previously claimed three points in just one of their last 14 games in the division.

Rotherham to beat Preston @ 9/4

The Millers appear to be hitting form at the perfect time and while a big ask, should be backed for an away win over a Preston team that has won just one of their last three at Deepdale.

Rotherham, meanwhile, head into this one looking to record a fifth straight win in the division with a victory that would draw them level in the league standings with the hosts. Having won eight of their last 10 games played on the road, Steve Evans’ team should be fancied to claim the three points.

Crewe to beat Stevenage @ 15/8

Bottom of the table and some nine points from safety Stevenage head into this crucial encounter off the back of a serious slump that has seen them lose seven of their last nine games in League Two.

Crewe could be the ones to benefit, with the Alex easing their own relegation worries with a return of seven points from the last 12 available in the division, including a commendable 3-1 win over Port Vale last time out. With Boro winning just two of their last seven at the Lamex Stadium, another away victory could be on the cards here.
