Price Boost: Sturridge and Giroud enhanced by Ladbrokes

This weekend’s Premier League activity starts with a bang as Liverpool and Arsenal lock horns in a top four clash in front of the BT Sport cameras in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Strikers Daniel Sturridge and Olivier Giroud have had their first goalscorer prices enhanced ahead of the crunch match and either could open the scoring at Anfield, with both in fine form in front of goal.
Liverpool ace Sturridge has almost guaranteed himself a place on England’s plane to Brazil after netting an impressive 17 times so far this season.
That total comes despite a six-week injury lay-off and it could be argued that the former Chelsea and Manchester City man has returned stronger than ever, with seven goals scored in his last six games for the Reds.
With his international strike included, the 24-year-old has netted 18 times in 22 games this season and with five of those breaking the deadlock there will be few players better placed to open the scoring on Saturday.
As such the 11/2 on Sturridge to score first – up from an initial 5/1 – is a price too good to be ignored.
However, one man with a bigger penchant for netting first is Arsenal’s French star Olivier Giroud.
The former Montpellier man has not proven as prolific as Sturridge this season but is still in fine form with 14 goals from 32 games in all competitions.
The 27-year-old has bagged four strikes in his last six outings and while this pales in comparison to his Reds rival he has shown a greater knack for getting things started in games this year.
Giroud has opened the scoring on no fewer than six occasions this term and with the Frenchman now priced at a huge 7/1 – up from 6/1 – to achieve the feat once more it is the Arsenal man who looks the best value bet here.
