Jordan Rhodes to reap rewards from leaky Man City defence

There’s been little glamour coming Blackburn’s way since they dropped out of the English top-flight, but the FA Cup gives their fans a long-awaited taste of their former stature when Premier League big-boys Manchester City come to town.

The day will likely end in disappointment for Rovers. After all, they are doing battle with the Premier League leaders, a side who have scored 27 more goals than Blackburn in league encounters this season and have reached the FA Cup final twice in the past three seasons.

However, that’s not to say there won’t be anything for Blackburn to celebrate, as the Citizens defence has been anything but secure in their away games of late, while in Jordan Rhodes the hosts boast one of the second-tier’s most in-form front men.

Man City have only lost once on the road in the past seven matches in all competitions, but they haven’t been able to keep a clean sheet in any of those outings.

In fact, they’ve only kept their entertainers at bay three times in 15 trips away from the Etihad this season, making the 8/11 on Blackburn scoring over 0.5 goals the biggest banker of the game.

Meanwhile Gary Bowyer’s side have scored in six of their last eight run-outs with Scotsman Rhodes netting six times in his last seven appearances.
The Football League’s Luis Suarez has nabbed himself 16 goals in total this season and is a healthy looking 7/1 to score the first goal of the game, while his odds to bag anytime stand at 9/4.

Considering Man City’s scoring might – they’ve scored two or more in six of their last seven games home or away – the 17/20 on both teams finding the net over the course of the 90 minutes is another flutter worth considering.
