Fleetwood, Scunthorpe and Rochdale top picks in League Two

Published:

The focus of this weekend’s League Two treble is the upper echelons of the division with each of the three teams backed for wins coming from the top six.

Lump on the trio of Rochdale, Scunthorpe and Fleetwood with Ladbrokes and you can take advantage of attractive odds of just over 5/1, which equates to a return of £63.90 for anyone staking £10 on this particular selection.

Scunthorpe to beat AFC Wimbledon @ 8/11

Top of the tree in League Two, Scunthorpe are bang in form heading into this one, with six wins and two draws from their last eight games in the division.

The Iron have been particularly impressive at Glanford Park of late, winning each of their last three there with eight goals scored and just one conceded. AFC Wimbledon, meanwhile, are enduring something of a slump with just one win from their last nine.

Away form continues to be a problem for the Dons, who have claimed three points in just one of their last four league fixtures. As such, a home win looks likely.

Fleetwood Town to beat Hartlepool @ 17/20

Just three points off the final automatic promotion place currently being filled by Chesterfield, Fleetwood head into this fixture looking to secure a third win on the bounce in this division.

They could do just that against a Hartlepool team who, while recovering from a disastrous start to the campaign, have now claimed just one win from their last 10 games in all competitions.

With Fleetwood winning the meeting between the teams earlier in the season, backing the Cod Army to do the double here comes highly recommended.

Rochdale to beat Plymouth @ evens

Another team pushing for a move up to League One, Rochdale have been in excellent form of late, with the recent 2-0 win over Leeds United highlighting the excellent job Keith Hill is doing down at Spotland.

And after claiming a comfortable 3-0 away win against Hartlepool last weekend, the Dale are expected to deliver the goods yet again here against a Plymouth team struggling for form in the division.

Argyle have won just one of their last five competitive games and just one of their last seven on the road. Back the hosts to prevail once again here.
