Everton to beat West Brom in a low scorer is terrific value

After their great rivals Liverpool slipped up against Aston Villa, Everton head into their Monday night match against West Brom knowing that a win will see them leapfrog their geographical foes into fourth place.

As far as the match odds are concerned, Ladbrokes can see that springboard win happening, but at quite a struggle with Everton priced up as the slim 5/4 favourites for the match, with the 12/5 and a home Baggies victory a 11/5 shot.

That certainly isn’t the only betting option for the match though, and the pair’s love for games containing under 2.5 goals means there is some terrific value to be snapped up for the Sky Sports encounter.

Given that six of West Brom’s last seven games have seen the total number of goals fall short of the 2.5 mark, with five of Everton’s last six going the same way, it’s really no surprise to see the odds that this games fails to deliver more than 2.5 goals is an odds-on outcome at 4/5.

However, combine those stats with the reality that all bar one of the last seven meetings between the two have also failed to surpass the 2.5 line, and Roberto Martinez’s side recent run of losing just once in 14 Premier League outings, some really favourable odds can be found.

In the Total Result market, it’s a staggering 4/1 that Everton win in a game that sees less than 2.5 goals scored.

That bet looks even more solid when the fact that the Toffees have won eight of those 14 games is thrown into the mix, with the positive head-to-head record that shows Everton coming out on top in four of their last six battles with Pepe Mel’s new team the final argument in what is an open and closed betting case.
