Crystal Palace intent on plucking Blackpool’s big attraction

In recent transfer windows Tom Ince has been linked with more clubs than Nicolas Anelka has played for, but now it seems Crystal Palace are honing in on Blackpool’s highly-rated winger.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Monaco are just some of the clubs Ince junior has been linked to in January, though it’s the resurgent Eagles who are the club must likely to snap up his services after reportedly launching a late £4m bid.

Although Hull and Sunderland are also thought to have held talks with Ince in recent days, Palace remain the only club to have solidified their interest by offering some dough.

And after his Dad, Paul, was sacked as manager of Blackpool by way of text message just a week previously, the feeling is his son is sure to leave in the current window.

Since Tony Pulis’s instalment as boss, the baseball-cap-clad Welshman has worked wonders in turning the tide, lifting Palace from rock bottom to the dizzying heights of 14th, making Selhurst Park a far more attractive top-flight destination than it was just a few months ago.

Palace have been transformed form strong favourites for the drop to a team now odds-on at 3/4 to regain their Premier League status next season after a string of positive results.

Pulis has plugged the previously porous Palace defence with cement since taking over, where they’ve only conceded once in their last three league outings south of the Thames.

However, as the top-flight’s lowest scorers – with a measly total of 15 so far after 23 games – Pulis is rightly targeting some fresh attacking talent to remedy things in that department.

Ince has already netted just shy of half that tally himself for the Tangerines this season, while he finished the 2012/13 campaign with 18 goals in all competitions.
