Willerton and Pargeter prepare for war on I’m A Celebrity

Amy Willerton and Lucy Pargeter are set to go head-to-head on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here with the pair vying to be the final female contestant in the ITV reality show.

It follows the elimination of Olympian Rebecca Addlington who, despite being an early favourite in the Queen of the Jungle market with Ladbrokes, proved less popular with the public than the pageant contestant and the Emmerdale actress.

Extra spice has been added to the situation by the ongoing feud between Pargeter and Willerton, with the former accusing the latter of being both lazy and selfish during her time in the jungle.

Earlier in the week the Miss Universe GB contestant fought back, pointing the finger at the soap star for spearheading a “campaign of hate” against her in the jungle.

The bitching continued with Pargeter one of a number of contestants accusing the model of bringing contraband like concealer and additional bikinis into the show.

And the camp issues evidently still remain a touchy subject with contestants, as Addlington and fellow evictee Alfonso Ribeiro each took time to comment on the behaviour of Willerton during their exit interviews with Ant and Dec.

The Olympic Gold medallist said: “I think [Amy’s behaviour has] bothered me and Lucy more than anyone else, because we’re both such strong team players. We thrive being in a team more than as an individual.

“I think it’s just affected us that someone has been selfish in that way, to bring in loads of stuff that no-one else has. It’s unfair.”

Despite the negative attention, Willerton remains favourite to outlast Pargeter in the jungle, priced at 2/5 to be the Queen of the Jungle, with her older rival priced at 7/4.

Her popularity has evidently been boosted by a series of waterfall shower displays and the budding relationship the 21-year-old has forged with Joey Essex, who remains at 8/13 win the show outright.

Willerton can also be backed at 10/1 in the Without Essex market, while Pargeter is 8/11 to be the next celebrity to leave the camp.
