Rocket, Dott and Maguire to win in UK Championship treble

The UK Championship has delivered its fair share of upsets so far this year, making predicting match results something of a fine art.
However, tonight throws up a trio of matches that should be relatively straight forward despite tempting odds of just under 5/2, while those looking for larger returns can check out the 235/1 Frame Betting treble.
(O’Sullivan to win 6-0 @ 7/2)
O’Sullivan has faced Duffy just once before in a 2011 match that saw the Rocket reel of a 147 en route to a 4-0 drubbing of the 24-year-old Sheffield man.
Few, if any, of the players in this tournament would trouble Ronnie at the top of his game and while Duffy is here on merit, a one-frame win over journeyman Barry Pinches is not the level of preparation required to tussle with the four-time winner of this event.
Expect nothing other than an emphatic win for O’Sullivan.
(Dott to win 6-4 @ 13/2)
Dott and Carter are locked at 4-4 in their head-to-head battle and despite both securing a path to the third round with ease it is this season’s form that sees Carter priced as favourite at 8/13.
However, despite taking four each of their eight meetings thus far it is Dott who has enjoyed the most success in their recent tussles, winning the last three outings.
No match between the two has ever been won by more than three frames so expect another tight affair, with The Pocket Dynamo extending his run over The Captain.
(Maguire to win 6-2 @ 6/1)
Maguire has won all three of the pair’s previous meetings and while Wenbo is dubbed as ‘Fearless’ by his fans the 26-year-old looks unlikely to progress further here.
Maguire will be made to work for the win, however, with Wenbo taking two frames in each of their first two encounters.
Expect the Glaswegian to reach the fourth round with Wenbo again taking two frames from his rival at the Barbican.
