Premier League duo encouraged by Pedro’s Barca stance

Arsenal and Liverpool have been put on red alert with Barcelona midfielder Pedro growing increasingly frustrated with a lack of playing opportunities at the Nou Camp.
The Premier League duo are long-time admirers of the Spain international and with the 26-year-old seemingly moving down the pecking order at the Catalan club, a January move could be on the cards.
Pedro has stated that while he is happy and feels wanted by the club he may have to consider his options if his game time does not increase.
“When you play less you do not feel less important, but it is true that you notice playing fewer minutes and it is different,” he told The Express.
The comments follow a first half nine-minute hat-tick from Pedro in Barca’s 5-2 weekend win over Getafe, which backed up his claims for a starting berth.
While the player appears determined to stay put, Barca could be tempted to part company with a player on the fringes of the starting XI if the price were right and both Liverpool and Arsenal boast enough financial muscle to table a tempting offer.

Pedro has scored 47 goals in 148 games for Barca – and 13 in 37 for Spain – and if he could maintain that form in a Liverpool shirt the Reds’ 11/2 odds on winning a first Premier League title would surely shorten.
Arsenal are also flying in the league and could reclaim top spot with a win over city rivals Chelsea but Arsene Wenger could also make use of the creative Pedro.
The Gunners are currently priced at 7/2 to end their eight-year barren spell with a Premier League title in May and while the squad is firing on all cylinders at present, the Frenchman will be keen to add to his staff in order to maintain said form over the coming months.
