Bulls and Mavericks picked to land NBA TV double on BT Sport

Thanks to the Ashes, many of us are now quite adept at watching sporting events in the wee-small hours of the morning and getting through a full working day after it.

So really there’s no excuse not to stay up and enjoy BT Sport’s double-header NBA offering, which we’ve put together in a 6/1 double to help you along the way.

Chicago Bulls to beat New York Knicks @ 13/10

The TV schedulers would have imagined this to be a clash of two Championship contenders when they pencilled it in for some airtime. As it turns out the pair meet in dire straits, with the Bulls injury ravaged and the Knicks enduring a torrid run of results.

The pair have won a combined four of their last 23 games but it is the Bulls, despite performing far better at home having picked up six of their eight wins there, that are preferred.

That’s due to their six-game winning streak over Carmelo Anthony’s struggling side, including in a recent matchup at the end of October.

Dallas Mavericks to beat Golden State Warriors at 19/10.

Golden State own one of the league’s most dynamic point guards in Steph Curry, playing close to the top of his game. However, the side in general are struggling.

The Warriors have dropped seven of their last 11 games and have allowed nine of their opponents in that time past the 100-point mark.

Their defensive slip – they held eight teams below a century in their opening 11 games – is bad news ahead of a matchup with the Mavericks, who rank inside the top 10 in the NBA for points scored per game with 103.4.

Dirk Nowitzki and co are therefore taken to triumph at the Oracle Arena, repeating the defeat they handed out to Curry’s men earlier on in the season.
