Tamera to follow X Factor path of Kingsland Road and Hannah

Published:

We have already mentioned in a previous post, which successfully anticipated the X Factor departure of Kingsland Road, the strength of the rebound vote on the show and Tamera Foster could be the latest victim of the system.

The rebound vote can basically be explained as the same act finding themselves in the bottom two in alternate weeks, as they register enough votes in the week in between to survive.

Kingsland Road were initially in the bottom two in week two, gained enough votes to avoid the sing-off in week three as fans voted fearing they were in trouble, but returned to their typical voting habits in week four, meaning the group were back in the bottom two again.

The same has most recently happened to Hannah Barrett in weeks three and five of the X Factor, although luckily for her, she has been saved by the judges on each occasion.

These have been the only two instances in which the rebound vote has been possible so far this season and it has happened. Across the last four series now, there have been 29 instances where the rebound vote could have popped up, and it has on 18 occasions.

It could take place again in week six too, with Tamera the act in trouble after surviving the sing-off in week four. Tamera is 3/1 to be in the bottom two in week six, with the theme for the performances being ‘The Great British Songbook’.

Given Tamera’s increased risk of being in the bottom two, 12/1 is a not the worst price either that she is the sixth act eliminated. But, she is likely to be saved by the judges in a sing-off with at least half of the remaining acts.
