Price Boost makes Broncos the pick for Superbowl XLVIII

Some Thanksgiving NFL Price Boosts at Ladbrokes have seen added value placed on Denver to win this season’s Superbowl.

The Broncos, who boast an unbeaten home record and a 9-2 ratio so far this term, were joint favourites with the Seattle Seahawks at 3/1 to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy at Superbowl XLVIII.

However following the boosting activity, John Fox’s side – who currently lead the AFC West standings – are now priced at 7/2 to go all the way.

The Seahawks, who have lost just one of their 11 outings this season, remain the favourites at 3/1, but while they boast an impressive points difference of +127 this is bettered only by the Broncos (+140), making the Denver side slightly more appealing at the prices.

Other boosts have seen the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions move from 40/1 to 50/1 to put together a championship-winning run.

Detroit enjoyed a narrow win over rivals Chicago at Soldier Field earlier this month but two successive losses since have diminished their hopes, while the Cowboys will be confident of going on a run after bouncing back from their New Orleans hammering with a road trip win over the New York Giants.

Both sides top their division at present with records of 6-5 and while their form sits in the shadow of the aforementioned teams, Baltimore showed last year that indifferent form in the regular season can be overcome after finishing 10-6 before going on to win the Superbowl.

The Ravens have also been subjected to a boosted price but their early season form makes them hard to back.

At 5-6 the Ravens could still go on to match their win-loss ratio of last year but a price of 100/1 from 80/1 indicates that their efforts to usurp the 2005 New England Patriots as the last back-to-back Superbowl winners will ultimately end in failure.
