Matthew Wright’s bikini horror show could set up eviction

| 25.11.2013

David Emmanuel currently leads the betting for the next eviction from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! at 2/1 but the smart money could be on Matthew Wright after his latest waterfall escapade.

Each year the celebrity contestants face a series of vomit-inducing horrors, but few are likely to compare to the sight of the Wright Stuff presenter washing himself in a rather ill-fitting white bikini.

The controversial television presenter offered up a rather hellish counterpoint to the scantily-clad activities of beauty queen Amy Willerton, who has been singled out by ITV in the Myleene Klass role of resident jungle pin-up, with his own bath time show.

Wright was keen to point out that he was taking a stand for middle-aged men everywhere, but his tongue-in-cheek performance could ultimately land him on an early flight back to Blighty, should the public – who like nothing more than a steamy shower sequence on the show – take offence.

The 48-year-old can currently be backed at odds of 6/1 to be the next to leave the show, putting him joint second favourite in the betting with the female trio of Willerton, Lucy Pargeter and Laila Morse.

The Channel 5 fixture hardly helped his cause after getting involved in the first heated argument of the series so far with the aforementioned Miss Universe GB, as the pair bickered on the subject of winning alcohol for the group.

However, one thing that may save Wright is the public’s continued appreciation of his Bushtucker Trial theatrics, with the television presenter previously demonstrating the kind of contorted faces and screams that ensured vilified figures like Paul Burrell enjoyed an extended stay.

That said, with a high proportion of the public tuning in to enjoy the beautiful bodies on display, the continued sight of Wright in beachwear could yet see his pale backside booted out at the nearest opportunity.
