Bale is beginning to look the ‘Real’ deal in the white of Madrid, scoring his fifth goal in 11 appearances when his club played Almeria prior to this Group B tie against Galatasaray.
Nevertheless, as long as a certain player named Ronaldo is playing alongside him, the Welshman remains in his shadow at the Bernabeu.
However, against Turkish champions Galatasaray, Bale has the perfect chance to thrive in Ronaldo’s enforced absence through injury.
