Aguero a fantasy football must as Norwich visit Man City

Published:

Norwich and Manchester City have played out two of the most exciting games in the Premier League last season, with the Canaries avenging a 4-3 home loss by triumphing 3-2 at the Etihad.

That 3-2 win was the lowest-scoring meeting between the pair in the last four, with City winning 5-1 and 6-1 in the 2011-12 season.

Sergio Aguero bagged four in those four games against the Canaries, and is 8/11 to score again this time around after netting nine in his last seven for the Citizens.

Aguero is the clear pick in fantasy football as a result, but David Silva could out-score his teammate.

Although the Spanish midfielder was quiet against Chelsea, he pulled in 11 points at West Ham in City’s previous game.

At first glance Liverpool’s trip to Arsenal rules out many of this season’s best fantasy picks’ chances of being the top points scorer, but it is worth noting that Luis Suarez has scored on each of his past two trips to the Emirates.

After topping the charts last week with his hat-trick against West Brom, Suarez is clearly in fine fettle, and is priced at 6/4 to score anytime at Arsenal.

Chelsea are another side with the potential to bring in a big points haul this gameweek, as although Newcastle’s results have improved of late, they are still conceding plenty of goals, with 12 flying past Tim Krul in their last five league games.

Fernando Torres is confident, in good goal-scoring form with three in his past two games, and looks unassailable as Chelsea’s first choice striker in the league, making him a good pick.

Another striker in a rich vein of form is Wayne Rooney, who has picked up 40 points in the last six gameweeks.

The 28-year-old has notched six in his last six matches against Fulham, including the only goal in United’s 1-0 win last season.
