Abi has real appeal at 8/1 to be Nicole’s top X Factor girl

| 07.11.2013

Tamera Foster’s appearance in the bottom two in the fourth week of the X Factor may have been a surprise to the judges, but not us here at Ladbrokes News, who suggested before her performance of ‘Wishing On A Star’ that she was a contender to be in the sing-off.

The fall-out of this scenario is that Tamera is no longer the favourite in the X Factor betting to win the show, with her new price of 11/4 eclipsed by Sam Bailey at 9/4.

Looking at viewing figures on YouTube, Sam has been watched the most on the official X Factor channel in three of the four weeks to date and as the only ‘older’ act remaining in the show, she has little in the way of direct competition for votes.

This is not something that is true of Tamera, with fellow girls Abi Alton and, especially, Hannah Barrett likely to be chasing votes from a similar target audience.

One reason both have already been in the bottom two so far could be because of this.

However, despite her appearance alongside Kingsland Road in the sing-off, Tamera remains the shortest price to be the last of Nicole Scherzinger’s girls standing on the X Factor at 1/3.

Tamera has benefited from good slots on the show thus far and it could be significant that the first instance she was sent on to perform in the first-half of the show, has resulted in her being in the bottom two.

The good news for Tamera fans is that she does seem to have the backing of all of the judges and there is a strong possibility she will be consistency saved in the sing-off if regularly featuring in the bottom two.

But, at the prices, it is hard not to get attached to Abi’s price of 8/1 to be the top girl.

She is the only one yet to be in the sing-off, so even if she does draw more negative criticism from the judges than the other girls, Abi clearly is doing alright in terms of picking up public votes.
