Tottenham and Derby key to four-division fourfold

Published:

Coupon busters Manchester City demonstrated the difficulty of picking out four winners as they went down 3-2 at Aston Villa last weekend, but armed with a slew of stats to back it up, this week’s fourfold is set to bring home the bacon.

Tottenham Hotspur to beat West Ham @ 2/5

Spurs ground out another win to nil in the Europa League in their last match, the ninth time they have won without conceding in 11 games this season.

Their visitors this weekend are West Ham, who are yet to score on the road this term, and Andre Villas-Boas’ side look like a banker to record their third win on the trot against the Hammers.

Derby to beat Leeds @ 21/10

New boss Steve McClaren watched his Derby side come back from 4-1 down to draw 4-4 with Ipswich in midweek, and will hope they carry that momentum into the game with Leeds.

Derby have won nine in a row against Leeds in a run stretching back to 2006 and considering Brian McDermott’s side have lost their last three away matches, the Rams should make it a perfect 10 at Pride Park.

Swindon to beat Tranmere @ 4/7

Tranmere have lost nine of their past 10 away games in League One and the Rovers have lost five of their past six anywhere in all competitions.

Swindon have won three and drawn one of their four home games in the league this campaign and have beaten Tranmere in five of the pair’s past six meetings, including a 5-0 win in this fixture last season.

AFC Wimbledon to beat Northampton @ 1/1

Wimbledon have won all four of their home games this season, while Northampton have lost every match they have played on the road.

The Cobblers have lost six and won none of their last eight anywhere, and are only avoiding bottom spot in League Two by virtue of Accrington’s spectacular ineptitude.
