Ladbrokes suggest two-act race for second X Factor exit

Published:

When it comes to the X Factor, it is no rare occurrence for the voting public to throw a curveball. After all, who can forget week seven of the live shows last year when eventual winner James Arthur found himself in the sing-off with long-time favourite Ella Henderson?

Predictability is not a word that can be associated with the voting public, but based on the latest betting on the X Factor, the acts that will be in the sing-off in week two this year are as good as already decided.

Of the bets taken by Ladbrokes on the second elimination, all of them barring a one-off £15 has been placed on two acts.

Miss Dynamix have been responsible for almost 75 per cent of the money for the second elimination and as a result, they have been made favourites to follow Lorna Simpson out of the competition at 6/4.

Shelley Smith was saved in the sing-off in the first week, but numerous punters are not expecting lightning to strike twice. She is 5/2 to be the second act eliminated, which would leave judge Sharon Osbourne down to a sole act after just two weeks.

Some punters may even decide that it is profitable to back both of these acts to the same stake, as they would still make money if either was sent home.

Alternatively, both Miss Dynamix and Shelley are 10/11 just to finish in the bottom two, and 9/4 to end up in the sing-off courtesy of the flash vote at the end of the Saturday show.

The sole bet that has gone on another act has been staked on Tamera Foster, who is 100/1 to be the second elimination.

This would represent arguably the biggest shock in X Factor history and not only is she the early favourite to win the show at 3/1, it is hard to see any of the judges picking her to depart at such an early stage.

All Odds and Markets are correct as of the date of publishing.
