Darts acca including Taylor and Van Gerwen pays around 15/2

Take a look at this mouth-watering accumulator as the World Grand Prix bubbles up nicely with an enticing array of quarter final match-ups in prospect.

Hamilton 2/5 v Pipe 7/4

Andy Hamilton has dropped just one set on his way to the quarter finals but he will need to show all his patience when he meets the slowest player in darts, Justin Pipe.

A man can get up, eat a fry up, play round the board doubles, drink 26 bottles of beer, get married and travel to Frimley Green in the time it takes Pipe to ‘unleash’ three darts.

Despite the pair’s split head-to-head record, the Hammer is a heavy favourite but with The Force still buzzing from his Adrian Lewis whitewash, get on Pipe, in the Citywest Hotel, with the darts to cause upset.

Wade 5/6 v Whitlock 5/6

James Wade and Simon Whitlock are best friends away from the oche but all civility goes out of the window once the action begins.

The Australian leads 16-11 over the course of their career although The Machine triumphed in recent high profile matches at the World Matchplay and Dubai Masters.

With the Wizard winning five of their last seven clashes and looking in red hot form against Ronnie Baxter however, expect Land Down Under to be playing when the dust settles in this tungsten tussle.

Taylor 2/9 v Anderson 3/1

Phil Taylor has yet to hit his straps in the tournament so far but with effortless wins against Jamie Caven and Paul Nicholson he hasn’t needed too. Familiar foe Gary Anderson should present a sterner test.

The Power holds a lifetime 22-5 record against the high-scoring Scotsman but has surprisingly lost both of their 2013 clashes.

But of course, only a fool would bet against the Muhammad Ali of darts, who has incredibly lost just five times in this tournament since it began in 1998 and Taylor represents the safest quarter of the acca.

Van Gerwen 2/9 v Chisnall 3/1

Anyone who witnessed MVG’s demolition of compatriot Raymond van Barneveld will be reluctant to bet against him overcoming Dave Chisnall.

But an analysis of Mighty Mike’s recent record against Chizzy makes very interesting reading. The pair met five times in September alone with the lime-green clad superstar losing on three occasions.

However, those defeats were in the comical environment of the Championship League Darts, played out behind closed doors in an Essex golf club and with van Gerwen more comfortable on the big stage than Laurence Olivier – go Dutch on this one.

A £10 fourfold on the above selections pays £75.31
